well we did it!  the wedding was amazing.  it literally felt like a dream.  the pink carpet was beautiful.  after the ceremony shaun and michelle had to walk down the carpet again to do press interviews.  it got tiring answering the same questions over 10 times!  (note to people back home....don't ask us about our trip.  haha just kidding)

after the ceremony/press our guests (25 in all) went back to the london hotel for food and drinks provided by sony.

about 2 hours later they bussed us all to the metropolitan club for the afterparty/reception.  we did some traditional weddings things (cutting cake, first dance) and then patrick dempsey and michelle monaghan presented us with watches.  the rest of the night we just celebrated with our friends and about a few couple hundred well to do new yorkers and celebs.

looking back, we are soooo happy we did this; sony went above and beyond the call of duty for making this feel like a real wedding.  and the best part is, we get to do it again in august!  i wonder if mr. golightly will put on the same production that sony did?

monday

shaun and michelle went to the st. regis hotel this morning to meet with mary hart.  it was so cool to meet a famous anchor!  

after that the richwines came to entertain mark and wendy and shaun and michelle went their separate ways. 

shaun and brit got shaves and michelle got hair/nails/makeup done.  

it's close to 4 now and we must get ready for photos!

tonight we had our rehearsal.  it is insane what they are doing on the street for this premiere.  since it's going to be a downpour tomorrow, they have tents up everywhere.  they told us that they had 60 people working on this wedding (just the planning), so that made us feel pretty important!  we are just so thankful to God for giving us this amazing opportunity.

then we out for dinner with some of shaun's family that came.  his mom, sister, and her husband came from hanover and then his dad and cousins came as well.

well i guess that's it.......until tomorrow!

sunday

during the day we were completely off and on our own.  shaun/michelle/sarah/golightlys went to lunch and then took the subway to ground zero.  

after a relaxing day, we are heading to the rehearsal tonight.  the premiere will be held right next to our hotel.  they are already starting to set up and blocking off the street. 

shaun's family is coming in tonight too.

saturday

today michelle and shaun met with their photographer, denis reggie.  he has done wedding photography for john kennedy jr., arnold schwarzenegger, and the likes.  once again, we cannot believe this is happening!  

after meeting with the photographer, cameras were off and we were free for the day!  it was so nice to not be followed and enjoy new york without anyone around but us......that is until the golightly's came!

they came in on the train around 3 and we headed to the tux place to get the big guy fitted.  that was an amusing experience.

in the evening, shaun/michelle/sarah/brit went to a broadway show, A Catered Affair.  we were given the tickets by sony and then had photo ops backstage after the show.

today was another fun day!  first sarah and michelle went to victoria secret.  they generously gave michelle a gift card to buy everything she needs.

next we had a breakfast break (yea!) and we were split into groups.  michelle and sarah went to Oscar Blandi Salon for a run through of her hair (where she received another gift bag) and shaun and brit (best man) went to get their tuxes.  

after the hair/tuxes was the FUN part.  we all went to jersey to get a dancing lesson from Maksim from Dancing with the Stars!  it was soooo incredible.  we also had an additional crew film us today from entertainment tonight.  while we were there, we had to film a phone call to mary hart.  we couldn't believe she was calling michelle's cell.  and maksim's final verdict on our dance skills....shaun was cool and ready, michelle needed a longer attention span to get it down ;)

the last thing of the day was for michelle and sarah....they went to cornelia day resort to get manicures and pedicures.  it was fabulous to be treated like a star.  then David Evangelista did michelle's makeup....another big time name doing us a big favor.

today was such a fun day.  our assistant and the camera crew met us at our hotel this morning.  also joining us today was a crew from the new york post.  they will be running a story on us in sunday's paper.  shaun and michelle got their mikes on and we were off to Damiani to pick up our wedding bands.  they really treated us like royalty there.  the bands we received were co-designed by Brad Pitt!  they were also kind to give us a complimentary gift bag full of goodies.

next we went to Kenneth Cole shoes to film us getting our shoes (which we already had but had to act for the cameras).  it was so funny because there were so many people walking around on the street and they thought we were actually someone important because they were taking pictures of us through the store window!  the people at Kenneth Cole were so kind and they let Michelle take home two pair of shoes.

then we had a lunch break, which sony graciously paid for.  our 3rd stop was Selia Yang again.  even though michelle was fitted yesterday, we went today to get it on camera.  no pictures here; dress is top secret.

our last stop was the cake.  we were so honored that the famous Sylvia Weinstock was doing our cake!  so unbelievable.  she is the sweetest lady and she really does wear those big black round glasses all the time.  she has done so many cakes for celebrities, so we were floored that she is designing our cake.

we just couldn't believe how today turned out.  what most couples take months to do, sony did it all for us in one day.  and having cameras follow our every move.....so different!  it was so much fun and we still can't believe this is happening to us.

we'll upload pictures of our day later.....we're going for a run in central park.  God really gave us a beautiful day!

wednesday night

tonight we met up with shaun's best man, andrew (aka betty) and his fiance rachel who live here.  shaun's friend brian was in town on business, so we all went out to eat.  fyi....happy 27th birthday sarah!!

wednesday

after we got our marriage license, our driver dropped shaun off at our hotel and sarah and michelle went to selia yang to look at the dress.  the designer herself fitted michelle!  it is absolutely stunning.  then we went to a private viewing of the movie, Made of Honor, which was held in Sony's private screening room.

it's almost official!  we got our marriage license this morning.

tuesday

well we made it.  safe and sound.  but not without shaun not having a boarding pass, sarah having her seat double booked, and michelle got coffee spilled on her head.  just some of the perks of traveling.  a driver was waiting for us when we stepped off the plane and he picked us up in a huge suv.  the hotel that sony is putting us up in is gorgeous.  this is no days inn, carlisle style.  here's the link:  www.thelondonnyc.com.  our assistant, sabrina, met us at the hotel to go over tomorrow's itinerary.  she told us that USA Today will have a blurb about our wedding in wednesday's paper.  check it out.
